The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed with regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage designed for intervention encounters a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that sassa status makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In sassa status check this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing sassa status of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
